MorbidsoSorbid
Приєднався 27 чер 2011
This started off as a parody channel for the band Morbid Angel from videos I edited myself. However, it has now evolved into a place for me to upload rare and interesting materials. Most will probably be metal related but other music and art-house cinema will probably come soon.

Devin Townsend Terria Commentary
Переглядів 8 тис.11 років тому
Interesting 20 minute commentary by Dev for the 2001 album 'Terria'. This is on the limited edition bonus CD for said album. He was about 30 at the time. Someone else uploaded the commentary for 'Physicist' which is worth a listen too.

This is an interview conducted by David Dye for 'World Cafe' for the promotion of Bish Bosch. The program was broadcast from the USA and Scott seemed to be in the studio with the interviewer. I think this makes it interesting.
Nick Cave - Sad Waters [Rare Acoustic Version]
Переглядів 161 тис.11 років тому
This track is found on the lecture CD 'The Secret Life of the Love Song' which Nick released in 2000. I personally find it far superior and more emotional than the original which is found on the 'Your Funeral... My Trial' album. It can be purchased in the link below: www.amazon.co.uk/Secret-Life-Love-Song-Flesh/dp/B00002DDZG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1359818894&sr=8-1

This in an interview between Scott and Stuart Maconie for his BBC 6 radio show 'Freak Zone'. Although the interview was conducted in late 2012 it was broadcast in January 2013 to help celebrate Scott's 70th birthday.
Scott Walker Radio Interview 2012

Scott interviewed by his friend Jarvis Cocker on BBC Radio 6. This was broadcast on the 2nd December 2012 to help promote Bish Bosch. From a newspaper interview around this time it was mentioned that Scott had a biking accident and damaged a tooth - this may explain the sibilance in his speech.
The Walker Brothers scene in 'Beach Ball' (1965)
Переглядів 16 тис.11 років тому
Before The Walker Brothers headed to fame in England they had this bit-part in the 1965 American feature film 'Beach Ball' playing the Scott Walker composition 'Doin' The Jerk'. This is the first song Scott is known to have written. The drummer here is Al "Tiny" Schneider not Gary Leeds whom joined a little later. I found this scene on youtube coupled together with the film's other songs. The q...

From the BBC series 'Who Do You Think You Are?' John Hurt discovers that his long-held belief that he had Irish ancestry wasn't true. He's not happy.
Buddha Bidet - Rare Devin Townsend song
Переглядів 40 тис.11 років тому
Buddha Bidet was recorded during the Epicloud recording sessions (2012) and given to people who had VIP tickets to the Retinal Circus gig on a memory stick. Great song - possibly a test drive for Save Our Now as it has a similar structure and dance-y off beat thing. Apologies for copyright infringement!
Devin Townsend Newcastle Guitar Clinic Pro-recorded (1 of 2)

This is part 1 of a professionally recorded Dev clinic recorded in a Newcastle (England) college on 15/11/2011. It's an Easter egg on the 'By A Thread' boxset and hadn't been uploaded to youtube yet probably due to it's rarity. Very informative and entertaining - enjoy!

😂😂😂 he's gutted. I'm english, irish, Greek and South Italian and Scandinavian quater of everything but had no idea about Scandinavian only thing I can think is all my ancestors come from cities the vikings ruled or created aswel as the Norman's who was of viking ancestry. I have no Scandinavian ancestors but I'm 24.9%
Wow - I knew he had some lean years in the 70s and 80s, but it sounds like he was really living hand-to-mouth a lot of the time. Appalling really, considering how many records he sold during the 60s.
This is just the best Nick Cave for me ... what a CD
Varg wears Adidas pants confirmed.
Ill laugh for you John... 😂🤣😂😂😂🤣😂
:')
so this is how mrbeast will look in his 50's? 😂😂
mr beast? lol
I found out after a DNA test i was 5% English? 🥴 However the other 95% is Gael.
But john you could be irish you've one of their main characteristics ignorance especially with that aids ad and the misery you helped cause shame on you
Amazing, they were both kids!
ughhh too beautiufl
His voice is great for relaxation. Some great ASMR. RIP Scott, you were a genius :)
Shows how our feelings delude us ! Important lesson

Will er sich hier nicht zeigen?
They weren’t brothers and they weren’t Walkers😂….brilliant. Too early for their time.
If he says he's Irish that's good enough. A great man and a great actor
Schade um diesen wunderschönen Mann mit ebensolcher Stimme.😢
Me after getting my monthly income and throwing it away on random shit in 2 days
A very different type of musical hero.
I could just melt into his singing, his voice is part sensual, melancholy, and oh so very very engaging and very articulate.
Genius!

I have a Russian colleague who talks in English and laughs the exact same way.
I love Scott. when hes referring to that wonderful amp.. is it a fender blues jr????? lol
Greetings! People of 2024!
Unbelievable beautiful voice, love it for ever ❤
John hurt to me is an irish man x
His early stuff in the 60 the best.He was the best male singer in the world then.In my humble opinion
John hurt is honorary Irish. We knew him in our town. Missed and loved
Hearing him describe Zercon is amazing. Honestly we’re used to great artists maintaining a silence around their work (think Cormac McCarthy or Jandek), but it’s so wonderful how generous Scott was in talking about his ideas. And with such enthusiasm
yh but cormac mccarthy is not a great artist, a few good books though
damn he looks like mr beast in this take
he looks like mr beast
It was rare that Scott was so engaged in an interview, the interviewer got on Scott’s good side with humor at the beginning and Scott responded to that. Scott Walker was an incredible artist and is the Mount Everest of people from his generation and generations since. He threw down the gauntlet for other people to follow. Love him.
A tiny bit self indulgent… 😂
One of the greatest artists of the late 20th century. What he did in sound and words was similar to what Francis Bacon did in paint.
Everyone is Irish really.
So nice to hear Scott's voice explaining his thoughts on his work + music.XX
Based.
Heartbreaking version
I’m Irish and I’m gutted that I’m not John Hurt
Looks like Mr Beast
John Hurt was, in his heart, as Irish as I am, and, believe me, I am Irish to the core of my being.
Let us drink then, to the Irish! No finer race of men has ever... peeled a potato.
Mr.Beast...
he laughs exactly like elon musk. 🤣
Love this snow nigga
One of the best parts about listening to the album is wondering what Scott looked like recording it. Usually what comes to mind is Tony Bennett signing in a foggy graveyard.
Blud look like mr beast
